Our Great Christmas Tree Hunt
Just look at that man. There are many wonderful things about life, but being his wife is probably my favorite above all else. This was Brian's first week off crutches and what did he do? That remarkable man went into the mountains and cut us down the most perfect Christmas tree. Well, luckily for us, he didn't have to do it alone, we had the most lovely time with our dear friends Emma & Dallin.
We spent hours in what felt like a completely mystical place, full of magic and hidden stories. Upon arriving to the entrance of the mountain pass the sun was making her appearance known with all her shining glory, but as we made the climb down into this beautiful valley the clouds rolled in, the sky effortlessly went grey and the tops of those peaks became hazy powdered with fresh snow, I never want to forget how in awe I felt.
Out scavenging for the perfect tree required more than I think any of us expected, but we were both successful finding Pinyon Pines that have left our homes smelling of Christmas, and the night ended with eating our weight in Thai food, laughter, and snuggled up watching a movie, is there anything better? Maybe, but I doubt it.
