Merry & Bright — 32 Week Bumpdate
32 WEEKS PREGNANT
This Christmas has been oh so special, and entirely too lovely, I wish so badly that it would just stay a little longer. This week was full to the brim of Christmas festivities and celebrating B's birthday. After several days of running around, dancing, surrounded by friends and dear loved ones, making English toffee, stocking stuffer extravaganza, staying up past midnight to get in our last fix of Christmas movies, I'm resting and recuperating, with B making sure that I'm off my feet as much as possible — he spoils me more than I know what to do with. This season is always so wonderful, but I found it to be even more so as we participated in a beautiful scripture advent my mama sent to us as a gift, and the #LighttheWorld campaign put out by our church, which encouraged us to take the 25 days of December and follow Christ's example through service, forgiveness, acts of compassion, and so on. Each day there was a new challenge, and each day I found myself closer to my Savior, I will forever be grateful for the impact of something as simple as doing one thing each day to better remember Him. We had our Angell family dinner last night and B was totally in his element cooking and entertaining, it was a real treat getting everyone around the table and sharing in catching up, it makes me all the more excited for February to see my family face to face off the screen and hug them tightly again.
In news of our little babe, and pregnancy, we are officially in major countdown mode and nesting as much as time allows. Remember my sewing confession? Well, I finished hand embroidering that little hedgehog in the wee early morning hours on Christmas Eve and started in on a tiny Narwhal before I slipped back into bed and dozed off to sleep again. On top of sewing, I made my very own album that I will be using for the One Little Word project, which was B's idea after I couldn't find one that I totally loved. We've been rearranging the furniture and I think it's safe to say I've hopped on the KonMarie crazy train.
I keep getting asked what food cravings I'm having, and between you and I, I've never been happier with a nice big glass of cold grape juice or orange juice with unfathomed amounts of pulp, plus 'tis the season for Cara Cara oranges which are my favorite so I've been eating those like they're candy, because for someone who loves fruit it practically is. But other than that, no food has yet to make me emotional or feel as though my world is ending, I count that as a blessing, if anything food in general has been a bit of an appetite killer, nothing sounds good, and being a very opinionated person who always knows what they want to eat it's actually been rather difficult for me. Luckily though, I have a husband who is a terribly good chef and has been great at making suggestions for dinner, cooking and baking as much as he can.
MORE HAS BEEN THE THEME THIS LAST WEEK:
MORE CUDDLING, MORE SLEEPING, MORE LATE NIGHT SNACKS, MORE GETTING CRAFTY, MORE JUST WANTING TO BE AT HOME.
Our hearts were so full this season, and we can't even imagine what it will be like with a little one in our home next Christmas. We hope that your Christmas was all things merry & bright, spent with those you love most.
