It's crisp autumn evenings that are capturing my east coast heart strings. The desert has a way of slowly turning even the wildest of scorching days into the brisk chill that autumn promises. We are slowly still unpacking, and finding our footing in this new life. It's riveting and refreshing. Brian loves to surprise me, he does it often, and this was one of my favorite surprises yet.
He took me on a beautiful bike path that runs along the water. Everything is always so serene, so peaceful. Brian had found a beautiful oasis where he had set up a game of sand checkers, where the smooth rocks rested against the brilliant earth. The colors were dancing that night, shades of blues, periwinkle, and mauve, gentle and fading. I love him, for everything he is, and everything he does.
